ABOUT DR.G
A sound education, strong family values and prayer has been the foundation of my life. After graduating from Woodbrook Secondary School, I took heed to the motto of "Aim High" and I decided to follow my dream of becoming a physician. I was honored a full scholarship to Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. In my senior year, I also pursued my Masters in Organic Chemistry as I was unsure about my life's dream of becoming a doctor, due to financial constraints. BUT GOD! I was awarded a full scholarship to St. George's University School of Medicine (SGUSOM) so I decided to pursue medicine instead. I thank God for my parents who never allowed me to give up on my dreams. As my mother always said, " There is ALWAYS a way!"
In the latter two years of my program I moved to Brooklyn, New York , where I did my clinical rotations in several hospitals. It was during this time my love for Obstetrics and Gynecology grew and I was convinced that this was my future career.I graduated from SGUSOM in 2009 and was eager to practice medicine in my country. In 2010, I moved back home to Trinidad and started working as an intern and then entered the Obstetric and Gynecology DM / Specialization Program in The University of the West Indies in 2011, which I am currently still pursuing.During this time,I also completed my MBA in Multi-Sector Health Management and a Diploma in Obstetric Ultrasound. In 2018 I was inducted into the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists UK and now practice as an OBGYN.
Working in the public hospital setting I was concerned by the lack of information my patients had and the lack of support during labour by family members. I often coached women in labour and my colleagues and staff were always entertained with my techniques and strategies in attempt to make pushing engaging, fun and successful. It worked!! This is where the name PUSH originated; everyone loved to hear me chant, "PUSH...PUSH..PUSH...PUSH....KEEEEEEP PUSHING!! DONT GIVE UP!!":)) Each delivery truly made my day and I believe that every woman should have the same support I offer at the bedside during this tough period. As a result, I am determined to educate my clients and support partners with evidence based medicine and coping strategies that will allow them to make informed consent and make the journey through childbirth a smoother one. So come be a part of the PUSH family and get the support you deserve!

dr. CHRISTELLE GELLINEAU
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, I always had a desire to make an impact in Women's Health. After many years of study abroad, I returned to enter the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and found that women were not knowledgeable about pregnancy and the process of childbirth. Our women were confused, alone and left to bear the pain of labour without coping strategies and a hand to hold. Because of this, I had the strong urge to equip our women with the tools to take control of their pregnancy and encourage support during the labour process. This determination is what birthed PUSH LAMAZE STUDIO.
